It's apparent not everyone seems to abide by this golden rule. And the latest victim is famed producer and hip-hop star Jermaine Dupri. Known for breaking Usher's career, being tied up with Janet Jackson and working together with Mariah Carey, he was kind of a big deal. Though I have to admit I am not a huge follower of the hip-hop scene, you just don't hear about JD as of late, or So So Def Records, his label.
Turns out his Lamborghini Murcielago was repossessed back in 2011 after the financial services company said Dupri hadn't been making his payments. Well, this week a judge threw down the hammer and said that he has to pay up to the order of nearly $80,000.
Mind you this is on TOP of $800,000 owed in federal taxes.
...Dupri was hit with a big, fat lawsuit back in 2011 ... after a financial company claimed the legendary hip hop producer blew off payments on his $330,000 Lambo Murcielago.
The company -- Premier Financial Services -- demanded Dupri pay for the balance on the car, $79,095, which was repo'd in 2011 ... and according to court docs filed in Georgia, a judge has granted its wish...
