Nissan’s highly anticipated GT-R NISMO model isn’t scheduled for a reveal until the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show on Wednesday, but preliminary information and photos of the car have leaked. Car and Driver removed an article on the GT-R NISMO that was posted on its website earlier today, but not before a handful of sites including World Car Fans grabbed some of the images and details.

To answer the question on everybody’s lips, the GT-R NISMO will reportedly extract 595 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque from its twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V-6, thanks mostly to revised intake and exhaust systems, new ignition timing and enlarged turbos derived from the units on the GT-R NISMO GT3 race car.

The boost in output, up from the regular GT-R’s 545 hp and 463 lb-ft, will see the NISMO version lap Germany’s Nürburgring circuit in an incredible 7:08.69 when equipped with an available track pack. The track pack is said to reduce weight by 143 pounds, improve the chassis and add manually-adjustable Öhlins.
