It's not very often you come across an ambitious automaker. Let me be more specific. It's not often you come across an ambitious independent automaker. Especially one that has the same name as Hyundai's über luxury car and creates the Bass 770. This, my friends, is the 2014 Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS).

This is the first time I am seeing this car.

According to the word on the street, the owner is French and has a thing for Steve McQueen's Bullitt movie. That's why it looks a lot like an old-school Ford Mustang. But that's just the start.

Slotted under the hood is the LS9 engine from a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. Those headlights look familiar as they appear sourced from the Chevrolet Camaro. The interior? Well, I am not sure what's going on here BUT I will say I recognize the Jaguar XJ venting and some switchgear.

It's all hand made and as you'd probably assume from what I just wrote it's expensive. Over $250,000, to be precise.
