After over nine hours and 1,000 miles, the #2 Audi R10 TDI diesel driven by Allan McNish and Rinaldo Capello has won the 2006 Petit Le Mans powered by Mazda CX-7. Its closest competitor, the Zytek 06S, was four laps back at the end of the race. One must also consider that to equalize performance, the R10's closest competitors ran with 65 kg less weight. (143 pounds) The R10 remains undefeated in all of the races that it has entered. Overall, it was a very exciting race with many hard fought battles and great on track action.
