Despite major cuts in TVR’s budget and the downsizing of 300 staff earlier this year due to falling demand, the company is planning to expand its operations by building a run of 60 limited edition Typhoons. Further, owner Nikolai Smolenski commented in a Swiss publication that the company is determined to re-enter the Le Mans series with a possible new Cerbera that could debut at next year’s Geneva Motor Show.
The Typhoon which was developed during the reign of previous owner, Peter Wheeler, features a supercharged six-cylinder 4.0L engine developing 550hp and 550Nm of torque. With a curb weight of just 1,160kg, the Typhoon can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 3.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 320km/h. Final pricing has yet to be set
