Funny how they don't criticize the amount of buttons in the LExus like they used to in the W140 series S Class. At least in the S Class, the buttons were all in one place, not scattered all about in the Lexus. I don't mind the exterior, but I DISLIKE the interior. Nevermind the leather or wood, the design is gimmicky, fussy, and probably won't stand the test of time for enduring design. Lexus makes a great car, but I relegate them too the same category as Sony VHS players or alarm clocks. They are just appliances.

This car is years behind BMW and Mercedes. All these stupid buttons are old technology. Tell me what exactly this car does that makes it better...because all I keep hearing about is the reclinging seat (I say gimmick), the hybrid drive(which I say is useless technology with no hope of longterm success), and the self-park (which is cool and I think usefull). Overall, this car is nothing special, just a basic Lexus with a few gimmicks added.

Oh, don't forget the 8-speed transmission that is less advanced than 6 speeds offered by BMW and Mercedes. Is Lexus really raising the standards or are they simply forcing other companies to also added crappy gimmicks to their cars in order to compete in a market where most consumers are bedazzled by such junk in the showroom only to learn 6-8 months later that they never use it and they wish that had not spent the extra money?
