According to the rumor mill, the revived third-generation Nissan Xterra is shaping up pretty fine, and now the good folks over at Car and Driver have novelties about the reborn off-road SUV directly from the floor of the 2026 New York International Auto Show (NYAS).
 
The Japanese automaker’s local North American division had a pretty rough first quarter across the US automotive market as the Nissan Group’s deliveries fell by 7.5% to 247k units. Of those, over 234k came from the namesake Nissan brand, but the drop was even steeper at 7.7%. Things are going to get worse before they get better, though.
