Mike Kimberley, chief executive of Lotus, is retiring due to an ongoing health problem.
Current Group Lotus board members will assume day-to-day control of the business until a successor is found.
Kimberley, who will be 71 in August, has been suffering from an ongoing back problem and doctors have advised him to retire so as to not jeapordise his long-term health.
