There's been a bit of a back and forth regarding the upcoming Maserati Quattroporte replacement.

That's because some have said that a V6 motor is in development for this all-new car while others dispute it will maintain it's V8 that made this vehicle so lovable in the first place. I can guarantee you it wasn't the green, backlit gauges that remind me of cars from the 1980s and 1990s.

This video should clear things up a little.

A spy was camping out at the infamous Fiorano test course when he spotted these two Maseratis making their way around the track. I can't confirm if it was one or two vehicles at once or even it was the same day; however, you can draw that these are two different mules.

That's because as one passes by it is eerily silent while the second vehicle passes making a hell of a V8 ruckus.

What say you? Two powerplants for the all-new Quattroporte?

I have filmed a couple of different testing mules to the new Maserati Quattroporte, the first one is probably developing a quiet V6 engine, in the other one you can clearly hear a lovely V8 note.
