Which one it the winner? That is a good question. Auto Bild declares the Audi the winner. They say that the "The AUDI triumphs clearly: It is roomier and also quicker." Both were equipped with 2 liter diesel engines. The Audi made 170 horsepower and the BMW 163. The Audi sprinted to 62 mph in 8.2 seconds while the BMW required 8.8 seconds, the Audi was also much quicker in highway acceleration. Both cars achieved great fuel economy, the Audi averaged 36 mpg and the BMW 37. The editors also weren't taking it easy as you can see by the photo. In the end the Audi got 427 points to BMW's 411.
