Green may be the wave of the future, but the V-8-powered, rear-wheel-driven, two-plus-nobody-seater 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS is a glorious whiff of the past.



You can almost smell the leaded gas that used to course through its granddaddy's blood. And real or not, for sure, that lead makes its way into your right foot the moment you key the ignition and its Corvette-donated heart throbs with life.

What is it with spare tires? There are TONS of people that actually remove the spares for weight savings, it's one of the first stages of lightening a car for performance. Besides, nowadays people get their cars towed to garages or dealers instead of changing a spare themselves. And with the new designs having issues being towed on a regular truck, flatbeds are more popular (note the screw in eye that the truck can hook to in the bumpers without going under and scraping the car).

Spare tires is a fairly lame judgement of a car IMO. There will be a day when no car comes with a spare anymore because of tire design and technology. It's like saying "No ipod hookup, need I say more."

I dont think You would be concerned if the car that just cleaned your clock with a good old american pushrod V-8 has "a Spare Tire"
