Congratulations to Lexus on a great victory at the Rolex 24!!!!
In one of the most spectacular finishes in the 45-race history of the Rolex 24 At Daytona, the No. 01 TELMEX/Target Chip Ganassi Racing Lexus Riley trio of Scott Pruett, Juan Pablo Montoya and Salvador Duran emerged on top in a three-car battle over the final hours of the race to win the season-opening event of the 2007 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Special Reserve.
While the No. 01 team never fell out of the top-three overall positions in the final 21 hours of the race, the battle came to a head late in the 20th hour with Ryan Dalziel in the No. 11 CITGO/SAMAX Pontiac Riley leading Montoya in the No. 01 and Max Angelelli in the No. 10 SunTrust Pontiac Riley in a nose-to-tail fight for the overall lead. Dalziel managed to keep both vaunted road racers behind him, although Montoya and Angelelli did exchange second place a handful of times.

So, which of the usual suspects will have the first negative comment? Or, how low will my comment be boosted?

Nice and all but, it is only Lexus powered, the chassis is shared by many teams.

Mclaren only makes for Mercedes, Williams only for BMW. They don't make the chassis for other teams.

Why isn't Renlex banned yet? The last I saw, he was calling BMW a "retarded" company. This poster is obviously a troll.

renlex496 was banned, but renlex495 wasn't.

I think they are all versions of Will. I have to begrudgingly admit Will has been making comments that are slightly more thought out recently. Probably gets all of his anger out in the Renlex guise.

Actually in F1, every team has to make their own chassis and it cannot be shared. That is why Williams is arguing that Super Auguri is using Honda's last year design and Toro Rosso is using last year's Red bull chassis. There is no sharing of chassis in F1. The teams above argue that the chassis is built by a third party, so is ok to use.

Thanks for the link byhsu. I haven't been keeping up on F1 news this offseason. I am looking forward to seeing Williams spank Toyota with their own engines!
I would actually root for Toyota F1 if they had decent drivers. R. Schumacher, horrible. Trulli, nice guy, mediocre driver.

Montoya was available. I really like Kubica, but he is locked down to BMW. With their wad of cash, they might have been able to lure Kimi if Schumie had decided to stay on another year at Ferrari. Bottom line with the deepest pockets in F1, they should have better than mediocre drivers. R. Schumacher had some moments in 2006, but he is not world championship material.
