Porsche is arguably the world's premiere automaker. And, as of late, it hasn't been doing anything but shooting out the lights. This week one of its former supercars has been making headlines for obvious reasons, but instead of letting that dark shadow rear its ugly head, we've got something more interesting to show you: it's the brand's all-new 918 Spyder.

And it's getting its FIRST video review.

The driver is the very well seasoned Steve Sutcliffe of Autocar and considering his experiences in McLarens, Bugattis, Ferraris and the like, his opinion does carry weight. So, when he introduces the 918 and says it may surpass the hottest Veyron produced, you have to pay attention and look.

That said, I'll let Sutcliffe do the talking. That's because Autocar got cute and produce a video that's 9:18 long. Nice nod, lads.

The Porsche 918 Spyder is the ultimate combination of cutting-edge technology and conventional supercar wisdom. Steve Sutcliffe puts Porsche's Bugatti Veyron-beater to the test.

A £650,000 supercar can intimidate even the most confident driver. Not the Porsche 918 Spyder though. Most people could get most of what this car can do out if it. And some people will get closer to the edge than ever before. The McLaren P1 and LaFerrari will need to be very special indeed, freaks even, to deliver a wider range of abilities than this. One thing is for sure, the battle between the Porsche 918 Spyder, LaFerrari and McLaren P1 is going to be one hell of a fight.
