When the BMW M3 gets an all-new chassis, it's an event.

That's because over the years the M3 has proven itself to be one of the most driver-focused and fun vehicles on the road.

It's practical, fast and usually pretty damn good looking. So, how's the all-new M3?

This is what I've been waiting to see now since the car's been spied. It sounds brilliant, looks brilliant and reads very impressive on paper. BUT, that's just paper. The "mix" has to be tested in the flesh.

To say I am looking forward to getting behind the wheel is an understatement. In a couple weeks though I'll be heading to a track to do just that.

It appears our friends at Autocar got a crack at it though. Steve Sutcliffe has wheeled and dealed just about everything with four wheels, so, you know you can put some weight into his opinions.

See how the all-new BMW M3 shakes out, below!

This new version of the M3 is the latest in a long line of high-performance rear-drive BMWs, but it's the first M3 with a turbocharged engine. Can it live up to the pedigree of its predecessors? Steve Sutcliffe finds out.
