Edmunds Test Drives the "Astonishing" TT Roadster

The first Audi TT roadster, which appeared as a production car in 1999, didn't invent retro styling, but its simple beauty inspired the rest of the auto industry to adopt styling themes from the past.



Like the original Audi TT, the new 2008 Audi TT Roadster resonates with that retro spirit. It's a carefully crafted shape, one that continues the mission of the original but still manages to look fresh and clean.

Unlike the first TT, however, the 2008 Audi TT Roadster isn't only about eye appeal. It also drives with attitude thanks to all-new engineering, which has transformed it from a styling exercise into a real driver's car.

Just an FYI, my little Brother is a Trainer for Audi, the Launch Sales Training will be in March in Arizona, and Atlanta....They will also be training on the R8...can you say HOTLAPS in the TT and R8.....Cheers

As much as I hate Volkswagen, I have to say, the TT has a pretty good look to it. I like the coupe better, though.

I have to agree with CommonSense...it really does look like a toy.

And for "Edmunds" to say it's astonishing...well...that's like a Walmart rep saying Hershey's chocolate is world class.

Does Audi ever STOP winning awards? I'm pretty sure the A6 had more awards than any other car from 2004-2006. It seems like they're definitely the least image-reliant, most intelligent brand out there.
