Interestingly enough, a publication has gone out on a limb and done what exactly any automotive "journalist" should do; drive the competition back-to-back and get a full understanding of each vehicle.
Unfortunately, this time around it was the 2010 BMW M3's turn to eat it.
It seems the ladies and gents at AutoWeek just aren't feeling it when compared to the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG.
Not that its a bad thing, the C63 is an unruly beast. Having driven the 2011 M3, equipped with the Competition Package, I too understand what AutoWeek is getting at. The M3 just seems to have grown up so much that now it is a bit too much, perhaps.
Hence why I think the 2011 BMW 335iS is a more ideal vehicle for daily driving.
Has 00R and AutoWeek gone soft OR is there a valid point here?

...Well, I'm a bit stunned. Never would I have guessed that I'd get out of an M3 feeling satisfied--but not completely satisfied. I've driven this generation of car before, so it's not like we're talking about a brand-new model that surprises you with its changes from the old. But damn, that AMG C63 actually ruined this car for me a bit...
