I've got a minus about this car.

It looks like a big plastic model.

It has a very forgettable design. It may be fast, but who cares if it looks as unappealing as the average Nissan Sentra or 350Z. yawn. next.

I must agree that while this car is great, i think its design is one that does not age very well. Its a little too radical. As for BMWs, I think they age quite well...

I have never bought a BMW for its style. (I have had 4 and may have a 1er or 335i in my future).

Its looks are polarising, but that is secondary. The shape produces a car with a Cd of .27, an amazing number, considering that this is a 2+2 that has to cool an engine producing what is suspected to be over 500hp...

And I like it: it's shape is purely techno Japanese and brutally effective. There is a purity to it that no other designs have. Other cars try and be stylish. The GT-R doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it has to be to be fast. This car is just a slave to the wind.

It's a technical masterpiece, the roadgoing equivalent of an F-22 on a Cessna 172 budget.

I love it, as an awesome car in its own right, as the latest incarnation of the GT-R philosophy and as a tribute to all the Nissan people who made it and placed it on the road in such an amazingly affordable package.

Hats off guys, you have done yourselves proud!

BozzorTheGreat: Sensible Post

Kaisersozedude: WTF are you on about ??

I keep telling you, constucting your dissertations from wiki search results will just provide you with comments which read like a lot of Gobbledygook.

Facts: Ferrari 360,430,612,599 and even Enzo have more Cd than the GT-R.
Same can be said for the 997,2,4,4S,Turbo,GT3,GT3 RS,GT2. {You dont think that they would like to reduce it if they could}

Fact is that with Mid/Rear Engined vehicles you need Air Inlets in the rear of the vehicles to Feed & Cool the Engine hence reducing the amount of Cd reduction capabilities of the Vehicle Design.

So please try to keep your posts simple enough for us to understand.

By the way i did a bit of work in Aeronautical Engineering so be careful what you post on this site.

Love it/hate it looks, but if you've ever watched Japanese Anime, you can plug this car in one of the scenes and it would look right at home.

If you look at the design from that perspective....as in Nissan tried to achieve a distinctly Japanese flavor, then it succeeds.

It looks very much like a Japanese robot.

8 mill yen = $72k USD. phenomenal car. sadly, Nissan is ignorant at putting markups on this car.

YOU should not rely on BMI Japan video they are ALLWAYS in favour of Japanese car whatsoever, this is really starting to get annoying to watch their DVD here in Japan... They succeed to prove one day that a Copen break has good as a Gallardo... Yeah right ! Same power !

that test screams bias to me
