Once again Cadillac is using its smallest sedan as a vanguard for improvement and positive change. The latest generation of the rear-wheel-drive, midsize CTS recasts the company’s bold look. The first generation revolutionized Cadillac’s design when it debuted for the 2003 model year.

A complete overhaul for 2008 marks the start of a new generation and the promise of tougher competition for Asian and European automakers. The latest CTS features myriad engineering updates, a freshened exterior and a richer, more sophisticated interior with added features...

The CTS is the cat's meow among small sedans. It will be rivaled only by the coming Hyundai Genesis. Both have RWD and LSD whicj is exactly what I want.

You started by complimenting the CTS, then you go and group it with a Hyundai - the ultimate insult.

pushrod27, there is nothing wrong with today's Hyundai -- their quality is now on par with GM's quality and they are smart enough to offer the Genesis with an engine that is the equal of the DOHC Cadillac NorthStar V-8 along with RDW and LSD. Back in the old days, when Hyundai first came to North America, Hyundai bumpers fell off -- this sort of thing no longer happens with Hyundai products.

Pales in comparison to the Lexus ES350. The Lexus ES350? Now that's a fine vehicle.

I guess I agree LexSucks... Cadillac missed the target that their sister company set out at Buick (ES350's Target) Cadillac went for sporty sedan... ES350 went for Tuna Boat like driving dynamics.

As a designer...the colors of the interior are awful. Look at the GRAY (black base) window buttons next to the BEIGE (brown base) interior door. Its like wearing black shoes with brown pants, you don't do it.

While it does look more luxurious than european examples, the blocky GM buttons, the one color fits all headliner, and the TL instrument cluster...marks it as a fraud to me. Give it black buttons, better yet, take away the bunch of confusing buttons, give people better colors, and V body kit optional...then we'll talk. I also don't think this car goes up against the 3 series or C-Class because of its size, they only compare in terms of price and relative HP IMO.

your not a designer...... the buttons match the dash and gives contrast to the door panels, also the cts is the perfect size to compete with the 3 series as it dose very well.

I saw this few days ago.. a black one..it looked really really really x 1000000000 mean...I just love the "in your face" type of facia it has. However, I'm disappointed at the side view as well as the rear view.. it doesnt match the muscular face.
