There it was just sitting there on the freshly cut lawn with no attention. The nasty khaki green colour caught my attention at the corner of my eye when merging off the 401 highway unto Kennedy rd.

What was this? It was the 2007 Jeep Compass... just sitting there all lonely and unappreciated.
So when I went with my mom to her local Chrysler dealer for an oil change... I was tempted to look at this piece of abstract sheet metal.

Well it stars off with a clean boxy design similar to that of the Calibers’ but once your eyes trail from the Kia Sportage-like rear you are interrupted by these horrid triangular shaped signals which are made of a hard cheap looking plastic material.

After the interruption you are pleased to see rest of the front of the car. An invitingly up-beat (un-freshened) Jeep Liberty face greets you but is still quite disturbing because of the ugly signals. The rest of the car is mediocre. The interior is very rough and uninviting… just as the Calibers’. It is filled with cheap plastics throughout the whole interior and is not pleasing at all.

This design leading as one of the ugliest car’s ever built… related to the Pontiac Aztec, the Toyota Prius, and the Toyota Camry. I would place this car right between the Camry and the Prius. The Compass may look somewhat photogenic in professional photos… but is not at all when seen in person.

Judging by the looks of this car… I would give it 3.5 stars, 10 being good and 1 being bad. For the overall car I would give it a 4.1. Still not up to par, but eh… someone will buy it!
