I work for a Mercedes, Lexus and Porsche dealership, and have demoed the S600 and the LS46l. The LS is a very nice car but the backseat reclining feature is such a cheap gimmick, as is the self park. There is no use for the rear seat recliner cause no one can ride in th front passenger seat. The S600 has adjustable rear seats with a few inches of recline, that are far more practical cause every passenger in the car can be comfortable. The fully reclining rear seats should be reserved for the extra long super luxury vehicles like Maybach and Rolls Royce.

I agree 100% that this seat is a gimmick. How is that useful to have the front seat be totally nonfunctional when the rear seat is reclined? What is more, when the front seat is in a comfortable position, it dose not appear that there is as much room in the back as there is in an S-class or 7-series. The seat is fun, but basically pointless.
I think the self-park feature is useful, especially in a big car like this. I also think that the Lexus self-park is not as good as similar versions I have seen that will be going into the new BMWs. I don't think Lexus accels at new technologies, they accel at adopting existing technology and making it cheaper.
