Television and radio presenter Chris Evans is to become the new host of Britain's globally popular “Top Gear” TV show, replacing Jeremy Clarkson, who was dropped by the BBC in March after he attacked a producer. Evans has signed a three-year deal to lead the show which is aired in more than 200 countries and watched by 350 million viewers worldwide.
Filming will begin in a few weeks’ time, the BBC said, without Clarkson's co-hosts Richard Hammond and James May.
