Tuner HAMANN showed off their latest creation, based on the new BMW X5, at the Frankfurt Motor Show last week. Called the HAMANN Flash, HAMANN has hardly left anything untouched on their version on the X5 whether it’s suspension, wheels, performance, interior or aerodynamics.
HAMANN reprogrammed the series-produced Motronic giving the 3.0si an increase of 14 horsepower for a total of 274, while the 3.0d was increased to 260 horsepower. The range topper 4.8i gets an 18 horsepower increase for a total of 368.
HAMANN added new aerodynamic and design elements including a new, wider front spoiler, a new rear apron, new fender extensions between the front and rear, a new roof spoiler and wheel sizes ranging from 20 to 23-inches.
