It was a 2015 Rav4 LE, they didn't have the color I wanted, or the Interior I wanted and they tried to deter me from what I actually wanted. I asked to see an XLE and he just told me that it is the same and he wouldn't even get the key to show me the inside. So to make a long story short, the salesman dragged me back inside and started playing games with me, I told him what I could afford and he said he would talk to his manager. He came back with an offer that was astronomically higher than what I could even think about affording, with a fairly hefty down payment also. I told him it was way to much for such a base model car and that I was going to leave so as I was walking out the door the manager chased me out the door and started shouting off figures that he could do, but all the while insisting on doing a credit check. Needless to say I nearly ran out of there and didn't want to go back. That is what lead me to Rockingham Toyota in Salem. I checked their website and saw that they had what I wanted so I called ahead and Rob, the sales manager, told me they did still have it and then he gave me Rick's name for when I came in.When I arrived I was lead straight to Rick who had my Rav4 right outside waiting to show me. He briefly introduced himself and then led me straight to the car and started to tell me things that the other dealer neglected to mention. He explained almost every feature of the car to me in very good detail. He seemed to know quite a bit about the car and I was very impressed. We then took the car on a test drive and he continued to tell me about more features of the car. All during this time I didn't feel at all intimidated or like he was forceful at all. Once we returned to the dealership we went inside and started talking numbers. I told him what I could afford and that I wanted to do a two year lease. He then went to his manager and got me two separate deals. One was for a two year lease and the other was for a three year lease. The only reason he showed me the three year lease was because the price was only a ten dollar difference. We then talked it over and I decided to pick the three year lease. During this entire time Rick was not at all pushy and I felt like he just explained the process to me and let me decide by myself. After I signed the deal he forwarded the paperwork to the finance manager who started processing the deal. While I was waiting for the finance manager Rick and I were just talking about the car and other things, he was very personable and genuine, not at all what the other dealer was like. All and all the process was very smooth and I felt comfortable throughout the whole process. I felt like I was treated very professionally and with the upmost respect, even though I am only 20 years old. When I went back the following night my car was all ready and immaculately detailed. I had to sign a few more papers and while I was waiting another sales person, Jennifer, helped me fill out the referral paper work. She was very polite and I was very impressed that she would even take the time to help me because I was not her customer. I was very impressed with the dealership as a whole, and would HIGHLY recommend anyone there.

As painful as new car buying is, they made the whole experience very easy. Rick Titus kept on top what I wanted, he found it, and beat another dealerships price on the same Tacoma by over $500.00.
