I'm writing this review from the passenger seat 653 miles into the 724 mile round trip we took to go see this dealer. Our experience started 3 weeks ago while inquiring about a 2003 Mercedes S500. This is a two owner low mileage car that showed well, but was priced significantly higher than NADA and KBB bookbook values. Despite feeling the car was slightly overpriced I was willing to spend a little extra for a cleaner than average low mileage vehicle. My conversations were originally handled by CJ, I found her to be attentive and courteous, she was timely with her responses and forwarded an additional group of approximate 15 photos. She responded that there was two door dings on rear passenger door, but the rest of car was in good shape. We exchanged approximately 30 text messages discussing the various details of car. I made an offer on the car at the higher end of KBB retail, was countered with a 490 reduction in dealers asking price which was 1900 over clean wholesale, about 800 to 900 over what I thought was fair. Negotiations stalled and no communication for a week. After reviewing the car fax I noticed car had been there for almost 3 months, and requested to speak with GM personally to see if we could work out a deal. CJ did put me in touch with Andrew Beck, who I believe is the GM. He was kind enough to discuss car with me. After a few conversation and text messages, we came to an agreement on price. I asked Andrew Beck to personally check over the vehicle and also to help me evaluate the suspension system, which he did. This dealer is 365 miles one way from where I live. One of my main concerns I had before deciding to make the trip was to have all dents fixes on car, which after inspection by 2 people there was 2 dents on rear passenger door. Arrangements wereawe read to have dents repaired and I asked Andrew to drive car personally and to please be sure everything worked properly and the car drove well. After verification that dents were fixed and everything functioned properly I secured my funds, took a day off work and made the trip. Up until this point I was very pleased with the assistance I received from the dealership staff. Upon arriving at dealership I got to inspect vehicle first hand. Within 3 minutes of doing walk around we noticed 4 dents on the car, 3 of which were very obvious. When we got inside vehicle we noticed 4 cigarette burns on left front A pillar molding. Guess I never asked if it was a smokers car, so that's my fault, not sending pictures of them which were at direct eye level for that supposed test drive was their fault. The other eye level problem was the quarter sizesize rock chip dead center of windshield. No picture of that either. Finally the cup holder door on center console was broken as well, which may not have been obvious, so I will give them slight pass on that. Quick math excluding windshield 750 worth of un disclosed items. Brought them to Andrews attention and tried to negotiate a reduced price because of undisclosed damages. Andrew was firm on his price, unwilling to make any reduction. I feel the dealership was deceptive in order to get me to come in and buy the car. I truly feel they thought I would take car because I had driven so far to see it and already had insurance documents faxed to dealership. They were wrong, my final offer to them was only 300 less than our negotiated price. As I pull into my drive at midnight, I found a dealership that lacks integrity.
