
I'm driving on the interstate, talking to my kids in the back seat. It's night, and the Infiniti SUV I'm driving drifts to the right, its wheels crossing the white stripe.

Unlike many drivers who don't pay attention as they change the radio station, push the buttons on the cell phone or start to fall asleep, I'm driving a bit erratically on purpose.
I'm testing Infiniti's Lane Departure Warning system, found in its 2005 FX35 and FX45 SUVs and its 2006 M35 and M45 sedans. The first-in-the-industry system, aside from one minor complaint, worked perfectly in several days of real-world bad driving.
Infiniti says this new technology will save lives, and I believe it will.
